The shooting for the sequel of ‘Kahaani‘ finally began almost after four years on Wednesday 9th March 2016 in Kalimpong, West Bengal. The filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh shared a picture of “Kahaani 2’s” clapboard and announced the commencement of the film’s shooting. He also added a few words along with in gratitude for the fans. While shooting for Sujoy Ghosh’s film Te3n Vidya Balan confirm her return for “Kahaani’s” sequel.

While the 2012 movie featured Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Parambrata Chatterjee, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Saswata Chatterjee, and Indraneil Sen gupta, the fact is yetto be confirmed whether the sequel would have an all-new caste. But there has been an official confirmation of Arjun Rampal joining the cast.

According to the sources, like its first installment, the hill station plays a significant role in the sequel too. Moreover, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who essayed the character of a cop in “Kahaani“, won’t be seen in Kahaani 2. This time Vidya Balan is joined by Jugal Hansraj and Arjun Rampal.

The thriller movie that wowed the audiences and the critics alike and could successfully hit the figure of 1.04 billion in just 50 days. The fans of the 2012 film-Kahaani,look forward to its sequel and are eagerly waiting for its release. “Kahaani” was co-written by Sujoy Ghosh. The story for the thriller movie showcased the story of Vidya Bagchi- a pregnant woman who visits Kolkata in search of her missing husband. Vidya gathered huge appraisal for her work in this movie. She proved that an actress can single-handedly bring huge success to a film. Vidya won a number of national awards for this film. The film bagged three National Film Awards and five Filmfare Awards. We expect “Kahaani 2” would also be a big hit like the first installment. The audience expectations are too high from this film.
